I was the sole environment, lighting & optimization guy on this amazing Nelson Mandela prison cell VR experience, as part of team known as RYOT. Using Blender, Substance Painter and Unity, I virtually recreated the entire cell using only reference photos, which was then sent off to a fabrication company to create a life size physical version. Users can virtually walk around the cell and touch everything in it in both the real and virtual space. The project was adopted by the Apartheid Museum in South Africa, and was an installation there for a while.
